It was our first night in Rome and was brought here by a friend who is a local.

Great restaurant ambience and  the house white white was excellent!

We had seafood pasta dishes, margherita pizza, and deserts.

Food was very delicious and came in pretty big portions. Prices off the menu are very reasonable.

This family owned restaurant offers authentic italian dishes frequented by locals.

This is now a one of our favorite restaurants in Rome.

We walked in here one evening for dinner and they immediately gave us a table.  The place was pretty busy for a Wednesday night.  Unfortunately, the seating in this place is crammed together pretty tight.

Our server wasn't that friendly, she seemed too busy taking care of other tables and didn't spend any time to greet us properly or even talk to us at all.

Prices are on the high side here. I ordered the chicken cutlet with spaghetti instead of salad, plus fries.  When the dish arrived, it had two thin pieces of chicken and a few pieces of lettuce.  I told her I wanted spaghtti instead, and she didn't say anything and brought me the spaghetti (and charged me extra for her mistake). The food didn't have much flavour, pretty tasteless.  The fries were the best part of the meal, being cooked perfectly.

The only time I saw a smile on the server's face was when she presented the check--how pathetic.

We tried goose because it was one of the closest restaurants next to our place with a good rating on yelp; we looked at the pictures on yelp of course to see what looked good. Of course we get there and choose what we like instead; we chose The carbonara and the goose pizza. We love love pizza and we were torn with the goose pizza or the good ol napoli pizza; the anchovies, the cheese, and the tomatoes. We asked our waiter and he recommended the goose pizza, so on his rec we went with the goose

The goose pizza: 3/5 the cheese was really good, I would say one of the best tasting cheese's I had on a pizza; gooey, fresh tasting, and wasn't rubbery at all. The crust was perfectly thin and crunch was just amazing, the taste was also very good. Now the pizza as a whole with the toppings were very lackluster, the flavor was not there because it had eggplant (which was not flavorful at all), mushrooms, and tomatoes. I would def not get it again, prob stick with the Napoli for sure.

Carbonara 4/5; first off the pasta was al dente, other reviewers had noted that the pasta wasn't and I felt like it was on par with many of the other Italian restaurants here that we've had. The flavor was a deep rich eggy and flavorful pasta; it was such a thick consistency which we like so it was just right. Now the only downside was the taste, it was pretty good with the cheese and the bacon bits, but we were overwhelmed with the saltiness of the dish. It was more saltier than most carbonara dishes we had, I would still give this a 4/5 because the flavor had a good true Italian taste to it but the salt was a little over powering.

NOW these two dishes together was just good; the goose pizza which was bland and really had no sense of saltiness mixed with the carbonara which was a little on the saltier side made a great dish.

Side note: we ordered the goose house wine, would give it a solid 3.5/5, would remind me of a Trader Joe's 2 buck chuck if you know what I'm talking about, if you don't then I would recommend it with your meal since it was such a good price.

BEST Pizza in Vatican City!! There is a wood fire oven right in front so you know it's good. Our hotel recommend this place and it didn't disappoint. I wish we could have gone again because it was that good
